What is SMATV? This stands for Satellite Master Antenna Television and is a commonly used system to provide a network of cables to carry satellite, FM, DAB and terrestrial TV signals to multiple locations. The system uses a single aerial, and a single satellite dish which connect to a system of multiswitches which then distribute the required signals to individual rooms or flats etc, giving each occupant access to sky, freesat or tv signals without the need for their own individual dishes and aerials.
